The survey was done by Fractl, who surveyed 900 Americans, and 394 of these people were business owners.
When it comes to understanding SEO, business owners seem to have a much better grasp than others. However, the survey results display that there is a lot of room for improvement on both sides to learn more.
Going off of the survey, “Nearly 1 in 4 business owners, and over 2 in 5 non-business owners, are not at all or only vaguely familiar with SEO.” Also, “Over 1 in 3 business owners, and over half of non-business owners, have little or no understanding of how Google determines search rankings.”
